Sonic the Hedgehog Sega Genesis 1991 This was the first game in the Sonic the Hedgehog Series. Dr. Robotnik turns all of Sonic's friends into robots, and tries to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds to take over the world. Sonic must rescue his friends and stop Robotnik. Cheats: Level Select: When the title screen appears, press Up, Down, Left and Right on the controller. Continue doing this untill you hear a ring sound. Then hold down A, and press start. The Level Select menu should appear. Debug Mode: On the title screen, press Up, C, Down, C, Left, C, Right, and C on the controller. Continue doing this until you hear a ring sound. Then hold down and and press start. Continue holding A and start until the level appears. Once Debug mode has been activiated, you can press B to turn debug mode on and off. When debug mode is on, you will turn into an object and can move anywhere on the screen. Press A to change the object. Press C to place the object on the screen. Level Select + Debug Mode: To use both of these codes at the same time, first enter the level select code. Then either goto the last level and beat the game, or goto a level and get a game over. Once the game has restarted, enter the Debug mode code. Holding A+Start will take you to the level select menu. Once on the level select menu, highlight the level you would like to play, and quickly hold A and press start. Continue to hold A and Start until the level begins. Beating the Bosses: Green Hill Zone: Dr. Robotnik is swinging a ball. Pick a side and stand under the platform. When the ball is on the other side, jump on the platform, then towards Dr. Robotnik to hit him. Land on the ground to avoid the ball when it swings back toward you, and get back under the platform for another hit. After 7 hits, you beat him. Marble Zone: OK, this one is a little tricky. Robotnik is shooting fire at the platforms. Switch platforms so you don't get hit. When he's comming toward you, he will be low enough to hit. Hit him, then goto the other platform to avoid the fire. Repeat 7 times as usual, and you will defeat him. Spring Yard Zone: Robotnik will be moving around above you. Then he will try to drop down and pull out the block you are standing on. Move over so you don't fall then die and hit him when he's picking the block up. Labyrinth Zone: Altough this seems like one of the hardest bosses in the game, it isn't. Just keep following him up, (You can even get ahead of him if you want) and once you reach the top he will escape. You should not need to hit him. Star Light Zone: As Robotnik drops the spiked bombs over head, dodge them. Use the see-saw to bounce the bombs up at him, or use the bombs to bounce you at him. Scrap Brain Zone: There is no boss in this zone. Final Zone: This zone takes a few minutes to beat but once you get the hang of it its easy. Dodge the pillars that try to crush you, (you can stand on the sides) and hit the one the that Robotnik is in when it they come down. After they go up, dodge the enegry balls that come down. They can kill you, unless you have the debug mode code enabled. This pattern will repeat over and over, so just get Robonik 7 hits and he's dead.
